Introduction

　　The former residence of Tamsui street head, Tada Eikichi, is the private residence of Tada Eikichi, who held the position of Tamsui street head during Japanese occupation. The building is a historic site confirmed by the government now.

　　The residence was built in 1937. Tada Eikichi applied for running water for home use, and, thus, it became the first residence with running water in Taiwan.
