工研創立於民國三十年(1941年),於臺北市創立,名為「工研食品工廠」,是臺灣第一間釀酢工廠。目前生產部門遷移到淡水。
工研酢從白酢開始,逐步研發烏醋、健康醋、味噌、咖哩、各式醬料和冬蟲夏草等產品,堅持純「天然純釀造」的原則誠信經營。

工研益壽多文化館[編輯]
透過參觀工廠、導覽解說以及烹飪教學的方式,將知道哪些食材可以釀酢、真正了解如何分辨酢的好壞等文化及知識傳遞給更多人。
未來我們也仍將以「健康、養生、美容、青春、活力、環保」的公司六大理念為基礎,秉持傳統、天然、健康的原則,不斷的改良、創造、開發新產品,為創造更健康的飲食生活而努力。於2009年6月在淡水新廠設置完成,2010年通過經濟部觀光工廠評鑑。
結合觀光、休閒與知識性,文化館位於淡水新廠廠區二樓。風格清新雅緻兼具,館舍規劃為視聽影音區、資訊互動區、歷史文物區、DIY區、品酢文化區、食桌文化區、工研食文化廳以及益壽多戶外藝文廣場。
